P432689.com: Your Destination for All Things Concerning Peter Myers

My name is Peter Myers. I have long been searching for a way to easily manage a personal web site for myself, and now Apple’s iWeb has come along and made it much easier for me. Expect more from here as I continue to develop the site.

Many people ask me how I chose P432689 as my nickname, and thus my domain name as well. I myself didn’t know for many years. It started in my sophomore year of high school (‘98-’99), when my friends began calling me by the bizarre alpha-numeric combination. They wouldn’t tell me what it meant. They wouldn’t tell me how they came up with it. Nothing. I assumed it was some sort of computer code that I didn’t know, as many of my friends were and continue to be better with computers than myself. When I was well into college, and while visiting home for a vacation, one of my long-time friends called me P432689. I asked him how that name had ever come about, and he was surprised I had never learned. “Oh,” he said. “One day, you went to the lunch line to get some pizza, and Paul turned to everyone and said, ‘Hey guys, when Peter comes back, let’s call him P432689 and never tell him why.’”

The name stuck.
